Crystal Peak Lookout
Originally built in 1959, the Crystal Peak Lookout served Stranger Peak in Chewelah, WA for nearly 15 years before it was transported to Northern Idaho. A few years ago, the fire lookout tower was completely remodeled and converted into a rural weekend retreat. The off-grid treehouse is perched above the treetops on 13 wooded acres. A ladder leads to an open space living area offering a kitchenette, bedroom, and sitting area with cozy cabin vibes provided by a wood-burning stove. Step out onto the wrap-around deck for panoramic views of the landscape or head down to warm up around the fire pit and sauna. If you're looking for adventure, the surrounding property is at your disposal for hikes and rides in their vintage snowcat in the winter.
