Dawn Aerospace Aurora Spaceplane

Multiple companies are working on spaceplanes. Most have yet to take flight. Not only has the Aurora Spaceplane from Dawn Aerospace already hit an altitude of 82,500 feet and a speed of Mach 1.12, but it's also being offered for direct sale to customers for 2027 delivery. The final builds should offer a maximum altitude of 328,000 feet, a max speed of Mach 3.5, and a payload capacity of 22 lbs. The company expects customers to come from the science, technology, and defense industries, who will be able to take advantage of up to 3 minutes of microgravity per flight, with rapid refueling of the bi-propellant rocket engine enabling multiple flights per day from traditional airports and spaceports alike.
