Earth Traveler Teardrop Trailers
Chicken feathers are lightweight. When you mix them with fiberglass and resin, you end up with a strong, sustainable, and affordable material. Earth Traveler's T300 teardrop trailer uses it to create an incredibly lightweight camper. Both it and the more expensive, carbon fiber-based T250LX have pop-up roofs on the front and back and pop-out walls on either side to expand the interior space. Mosquito mesh keeps bugs out, and large windows let in plenty of light. In terms of weight, the T250LX tips the scales at a scant 216 pounds, while the T300 will be roughly 300 — still light enough to be pulled by the electric city cars, some electric bikes, and other eco-friendly vehicles of the future.
