Evotrex PG5 Electric Camper

Less than a quarter of all US campsites have electric hookups. Evotrex's PG5 camper claims to be the world's first power-generating RV trailer, with a unified energy system that combines a 43 kWh LFP battery, 1.5 kW of solar, and Horizon, an efficient gas-powered onboard generator. Together, they generate over 270 kWh of total usable power on a single cycle. The idea is that when the battery starts to run low, the gas engine can recharge it, but without the noise of a typical generator. As a result, the PG5 should be capable of running a full slate of creature comforts for multiple days at a time. It can also help charge an EV towing vehicle as it travels, and provide power assist when going up steep grades. A premium interior, including a motorized 43-sq-ft patio for indoor-outdoor living, a dry bath, and a queen-size bed, completes the package. Orders are open now with deliveries expected to begin in Q4 2026.
