Francis Ford Coppola's F.P. Journe FCC Prototype Watch
Born from a 2012 conversation in Napa Valley between Francis Ford Coppola and master watchmaker François‑Paul Journe, the F.P. Journe FFC Prototype is a one-of-one marvel of horology. Coppola asked a simple yet audacious question, could a hand tell time, and Journe spent seven years bringing the vision to life. The result is a striking automaton hand that opens and closes its fingers to mark each hour, powered by the Octa 1300.3 movement and housed in a tantalum case. This singular prototype, made exclusively for Coppola, will headline Phillips' New York Watch Auction: XIII, offering collectors a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own a piece of mechanical storytelling.
