Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo Cinema Camera
Fujifilm's Instax line of cameras evokes the spontaneous fun of Polaroids, but with modern conveniences. The latest addition to the line is the Instax Mini Evo Cinema, which is the first to offer video recording. Its vertical grip design was inspired by the Fujica P300 Single-8 film camera from 1965, with a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 28mm f/2 lens. Videos can be recorded at resolutions up to 1080 x 1440, either to the built-in memory or a microSD card, while prints from the footage printed out of the camera include a QR code to watch the full clip online. Physical controls on the side and around the lens let the user select from different styles based on archival footage — 1930s to 2020s — and of course, it also captures still photos as well. The Instax Mini Evo Cinema hits the market on January 30th in Japan; no stateside release has yet been announced.
