Funky Buddha Mint Julep Beer

With the annual Run For The Roses imminent, Florida brewery Funky Buddha has a special release to mark the occasion. The beer is brewed with barley, flaked corn, and rye for an American strong-style ale that mimics the recipe of Bourbon mash. Then fresh mint is added before the beer is aged in barrels that previously held High West whiskey for an extended period of time. The result is a unique 12% ABV beer that brings to mind a classic Kentucky cocktail that finds itself in the winner's circle every Spring.
