Heineken x Bodega Boring Phone
Smartphones are incredible. They're also distracting, and their pull can easily derail an otherwise enjoyable evening out with friends. To combat this issue, Heineken has teamed up with Boston-based Bodega on the Boring Phone. The limited flip-style phone exudes retro vibes with a transparent casing, holographic stickers for customization, a noticeable lack of apps beyond texts and calling, a traditional number pad, and, thanks to manufacturer HMD's Nokia license, the beloved game Snake. While specs are beside the point, it does have a 2.8-inch QVGA display inside, a 1.77-inch display outside, a perfectly awful 0.3-megapixel camera, a headphone jack, and a week of standby battery life. The Boring Phone is limited to 5,000 devices which will be given away in various promotions around the globe, with a Boring App arriving in June for those who miss out.
