Hotel Finse 1222
Sitting 1,222 meters above sea level, Hotel Finse 1222 has been welcoming visitors to the mountains of Norway since 1909. After a century on the slopes, the quaint lodge sought out Snohetta to polish its interiors for a new generation of guests. The hotel maintains its historic charm with ornate ceilings and original woodwork, while floral William Morris wallpaper, pops of orange, and rich blue hues now wash the interior. The design studio did add a wood terrace around the exterior and two guest suites to bring the total to 45. When not enjoying the newly refurbished interiors, guests can take advantage of the hotel's location between two national parks and explore the mountains and fjords on bike, foot, or kite.
