How We Feel
There are few things more important in tracking a viral outbreak than data. Unfortunately, that's something scientists in the US are sorely lacking at the moment. How We Feel is meant to fill in the gap left by testing limitations. The simple app asks for your age, gender, ZIP code, and any health conditions you may be feeling. It then shares this data with a host of scientists, doctors, and public health pros from places like The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT, the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The data is completely anonymous — it doesn't ask for your name, phone number, or email address — and will help the aforementioned professionals identify new outbreaks, understand how the virus is spreading, discover new populations that may be at risk, and evaluate how interventions are working to slow the spread of the disease.
