iFi iDSD Phantom Streaming Amplifier
Combining a reference-quality DAC, a high-resolution streamer, and a powerful amp, the iFi iDSD Phantom is a one-piece solution for headphone aficionados. Notably, its DAC includes four Burr-Brown DSD1793s operating in a custom interleaved configuration for native decoding of signals up to DSD2048, the latter provided by DSD Remastering via a custom-coded FPGA for professional remaster quality. Listeners can choose between two fully-balanced Class A circuit modes — solid state or tube — in real time, with a third mode blending the best of both. It supports Qobuz Connect, alongside Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and more for high-res streaming, has a host of digital inputs for local sources, has balanced XLR and RCA outputs for use as a pre-amp, and supplies up to 4,676mW RMS power, with a peak of 7,747mW, via its headphone outputs, letting it drive even the most demanding of cans.
