Jackie Kennedy's Martha's Vineyard Estate
Bought by the former First Lady in 1979, Red Gate Farm has been the summer retreat for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and her family for 40 years. The 340-acre property sits on the edge of Squibnocket Pond in Massachusetts and features over a mile of Atlantic Ocean beachfront. Formerly a sheep farm, the Martha's Vineyard estate hosts a 6,456-square-foot Cape Cod-style main house with a two-story guest house and landscaping designed by the head of the White House Rose Garden renovation Bunny Mellon. The compound also offers plenty of outdoor amenities that include a pool, tennis court, two freshwater ponds, a tree house built for the Kennedy grandchildren, and the property's original hunting cabin.
