Jetson One eVTOL Aircraft
Aptly named Swedish startup Jetson is making flying cars a reality with its One, a single-seat, eight-rotor eVTOL aircraft. The One has an aluminum space frame with carbon fiber body panels, eight rotors mounted on four arms, and a total weight of just over 250 pounds with batteries. Peak power is 88kW, with a top speed of 63 mph and a flight time of 20 minutes — just enough to make a short commute or have a little fun. Simple flight controls allow beginners to get in the air in under five minutes, with a triple-redundant computer system that either hovers in place or makes an emergency landing if the controls are released and a rapid-deployment ballistic parachute as a last resort. The Jetson One doesn't require a pilot's license in the US and is available for order now for 2027 delivery; 2025 and 2026's production runs are already sold out.
