Katsuru Beta Painting Drone
Most recently known for his work with "graffiti drones", multi-media artist Katsu is teaming with Tsuru Robotics to bring the technology to the masses. Dubbed the Katsuru Beta, this semi-autonomous drone holds standard spray paint cans and automatically detects and clings to walls, enabling the creation of art on surfaces previously unaccessible. While noting that the craft will "patience and practice" to use, it's also said to be capable of tracking walls hundreds of feet high, with a 10-minute flight time per charge and a fully-autonomous upgrade coming in late 2020. For now, both the first units and their included utility cases arrive signed by the artist himself.
