Kirin Home Tap
It's far from the first at-home keg device, but it might be the best designed. Created by Yota Kakuda for the Japanese brewery, the Kirin Home Tap is a sleek white countertop kegerator tied to a monthly subscription service that delivers two one-liter kegs twice a month, straight from the factory to customers' doors. Although they're hidden inside the device, great care was given to the plastic kegs, as well — they're designed by 6D founder Shogo Kishino and have a unique coating that prevents oxygen from spreading and ruining the beer. As you might imagine, the service is limited to Japan for now and initially proved so popular that Kirin closed registration, with a list of over 15,000 people to be notified when it opens again.
