Kobe Bryant's NBA Debut Game-Worn Jersey

On November 3, 1996, in a game versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, rookie Kobe Bryant made his NBA debut, the start of a journey that would see him become a basketball icon. He did so wearing this jersey. Photo-matched by MeiGray, SIA, and PSA, the jersey was also worn during Kobe's first NBA Media Day, his pre-season debut, and several other games. In reasonably good condition for its age, it still has the gold NBA logo on the chest, the Champion size 44 hang tag, the "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers" tag, and the wash tag. The jersey comes with the accompanying photomatching certificates and a matching pair of shorts, and will be auctioned by Sotheby's in New York on April 10th.
