Koenig House 2
Pierre Koenig was the mastermind behind Case Study Houses #21, #22, and many other mid-century residences. While most of them were for clients, he designed Koenig House 2 for himself. The steel and glass residence was built in 1985 in Los Angeles' Brentwood neighborhood. The iconic architect owned the home until his death in 2004, and his wife continued to maintain it until 2017. Its 3,000-square-foot interior is filled with airy living spaces, including three bedrooms, 30-foot ceilings, expansive glazing, and an atrium, while the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated by the current owners. Around the exterior, there's a detached garage and a courtyard with a swimming pool.
