Lavo Hydrogen Energy Storage System
Based in Australia, Lavo is launching the world's first commercially available energy storage system powered by hydrogen. The battery is about the size of a large refrigerator and sits outside the home where it connects to your solar inverter and the mains water through a purification unit. Then, electrolyzers use the power that it collects to convert water into hydrogen and oxygen — and the system stores enough energy to run an average home for two days at a time. It offers Wi-Fi, an app to monitor and customize, and should last users around 30 years.
