Leica M11 100 Years of Leica Camera
The Leica I debuted at the Leipzig Spring Fair in 1925. Leica is celebrating the 100th anniversary of this milestone throughout the year with a limited edition run of gear, headlined by the M11 100 Years of Leica Camera. Technically identical to the standard digital rangefinder, this special edition has a glossy black paint finish, a silver chrome finish for several of the physical controls, a black cowhide body, and a black screw replacing the iconic red dot logo. It will be available in six versions specific to six different city/country combinations, including New York, Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai, Dubai, and, of course, Wetzlar, Germany. Each will be limited to 100 units, with a top plate stamp and number specific to that edition, and will be released throughout the year, with the New York edition arriving in May.
