Leica ZM 12 Watch
Leica's cameras — and, by extension, their watches — are known for functional minimalism. So how do they add detail without complexity? The answer lies in the dual-layered dial of the ZM 12, adding both depth and contrast to a straightforward timepiece. It's powered by a caliber LA-3002 automatic movement, visible through an exhibition caseback and co-developed with Swiss specialist Chronode. The movement powers both the small seconds dial at 6 o'clock and the hour and minute hands, which, like the hour markers, are diamond-cut, faceted, and filled with Super-LumiNova for legibility in the dark. The watch is fitted with a quick-release strap system to hold the 39mm case in place, the latter of which is made from stainless steel and paired with a silver/grey, blue/orange, or olive/black dial; a titanium model with a chocolate/black dial is also available.
