Lizzie Borden House
The 1892 axe murders of Andrew and Abby Borden live on in American folklore over a century later. At the Lizzie Borden House, you can spend the night at the scene of the crime. Named for Andrew's daughter, who was charged and acquitted of the crime, the Fall River, Massachusetts home remains much as it was, with the furnishings in the same place, the period decor duplicated, and the original hardware and doors still intact. Several rooms and suites are available for booking, including Lizzie and Emma Borden's rooms, Andrew & Abby Borden's bedroom, and the room where Abby Borden was found face down, stabbed multiple times with the iconic hatchet. For those not willing to stay overnight, the property also hosts ghost hunts and tours.
