Loop Desktop 3D Filament Maker
3D printing often requires trial and error. Those errors often end up in the waste bin, costing money and harming the environment. The Loop is a desktop gadget meant to end the cycle by blending old parts to create new filament. It accepts PLA, ABS, and PETG plastics, using stainless steel blades powered by a 1200-watt motor to grind them into bits. The extruded filament can be adjusted from 0.5-3.5 mm in diameter and is automatically wound onto the attached spool so it can quickly be re-used. Designed for longevity, it has an aluminum body with a removable sound shield to keep noise to a minimum and is launching in Q2 2025.
