Lotus x Hope Track Bike
Lotus isn't new to cycling — it built the bike Chris Boardman rode to gold at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. It just took a 25-year break. Now its consultancy division has teamed with Hope Technology to built a new track bike for the Great Britain Cycling Team. Specifically, Lotus designed and built the unique front fork and handlebars from carbon fiber composites, testing and iterating in secret to maximize strength while reducing weight. Making its debut this at the Minsk-Arena velodrome in Belarus, the hope is for the bike to be ridden by the team at the 2020 Tokyo games.
