McIntosh MSA5500 Streaming Integrated Amplifier
McIntosh has entered the streaming hi-fi amplifier game with the MSA5500. The MSA5500 puts out up to 100 watts of power into 8-ohm speakers or 160 watts into 4, with connectivity for nearly any device. The front panel features McIntosh's signature green-illuminated logo with blue-tinted analog power output meters and two multifunction knobs. On the back are five analog and seven digital inputs, including an HDMI input for a TV. Digital-to-analog conversion comes courtesy of audiophile-grade 32-bit conversion. WiFi and Bluetooth streaming are supported, with high-res AAC, Qualcomm aptX HD, and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive protocols. The MSA5500 is available now.
