Most subwoofers are designed to be tucked away. Sporting McIntosh's signature power output meter on the bottom, the PS1K Powered Subwoofer is ready for display. It has two 13" woofers built with multi-layer carbon fiber cones for reduced distortion, powered by a pair of 500-watt Class D amplifiers for a total output of 1,000 watts. Mounted above the amplifier module and power meter, they deliver room-filling sound and can be fine-tuned via adjustable low and high-pass filters, parametric EQ filters, level controls, and phase adjustments. Combined with the balanced stereo inputs and outputs and balanced and unbalanced subwoofer inputs and outputs, they're designed to integrate into nearly any setup.
