Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series
Mercedes' Maybach badge is no longer the sole domain of big, chauffeur-drive luxury yachts. The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 gives the Mercedes-AMG SL63 an ultra-luxe makeover, easily becoming the sportiest — and smallest — Maybach offering so far. The SL 680 retains everything that makes the SL63 a great GT, including the 577-hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, all-wheel drive, and nine-speed automatic transmission. The sporting edges of the SL63 have been rounded off somewhat, with Mercedes retuning the suspension and exhaust to make the car smoother and quieter. Restyled front and rear bumpers, a new grille, custom 21-inch Maybach wheels, and chrome trim help differentiate the Maybach from the AMG. The car unveiled during Monterey Car Week wears a two-tone paint scheme with a white leather interior and a soft top patterned with the Maybach logo. The SL 680 will begin deliveries sometime in 2025.
