Michelle Pfeiffer's Former BC Wilderness Lodge
Take your seaplane an hour north of Vancouver, and you'll find the former retreat of Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley, a post-and-beam wilderness lodge on 340 acres of Homalco First Nation territory, facing the Great Bear Rainforest. The property remained private until French entrepreneur David Tuchbant acquired it in 2023, poured tens of millions into updates, and reimagined it as a non-profit where all proceeds go to a Homalco-run trauma center in Campbell River. The off-grid property accommodates up to 16 guests between the oceanfront Main House and lakefront Lake Cabin. Full buyouts include a dedicated staff, a private chef, and guided experiences: helicopter glacier tours with potential first descents, Coastal Craft boat excursions, and SUP on glacier-fed alpine lakes. Inaugural season runs June 1 to October 15, 2026.
