Moab Easter Jeep Safari
What started in 1967 as a single-day group ride down Moab's Behind the Rocks trail, organized by the local Chamber of Commerce to draw visitors to town, has spent six decades becoming the Super Bowl of off-roading. The 60th Easter Jeep Safari, hosted by Red Rock 4-Wheelers, runs nine days in Moab, Utah, drawing tens of thousands of 4x4 enthusiasts from around the world onto nearly 40 guided trails through some of the most dramatic red rock terrain on earth. Legendary routes like Hell's Revenge, Poison Spider, and Golden Spike range from nearly stock-friendly scenic runs to white-knuckle slickrock crawls that demand seriously modified rigs. Jeep marks its 85th anniversary at this year's event with six concept vehicles on display at Walker Drug in downtown Moab, including the XJ Pioneer, a restomod of the original 1984 Cherokee that rewrote the compact SUV playbook. A vendor expo runs at the Old Spanish Trail Arena, and the Badge of Honor app unlocks a limited-edition 60th anniversary commemorative badge for anyone who checks in on trail. Sixty years in, Moab is still the Mecca.
