Montblanc Patron of Art Edition Peggy Guggenheim Pen
Introduced to the avant-garde by Marcel Duchamp and credited with helping the careers of such well-known artists as Ernst, Kandinsky, and Pollock, Peggy Guggenheim was one of the 20th century's most influential collectors. Unveiled in Venice, the city she called home and which houses her collection in a museum that bears her name, the Montblanc Patron of Art Edition Peggy Guggenheim Pen pays tribute to this icon in a number of ways. There's the skeletonized structure of the barrel, which evokes the dramatic entrance to her collection, the clip design that carries the lion of Saint Mark, the red stripes so commonly seen on the mooring pillars for the gondolas that cruise the city's canals, and the paws engraved in the nib to represent her love for her 14 Lhasa Apso dogs. Available in three limited editions.
