New Balance x Shohei Ohtani Baseball Glove
Rookie of the Year, two-time All-Star, MVP — Shohei Ohtani has made a name for himself in the MLB, in a nearly unheard-of combination of pitching and hitting. A player of Ohtani's caliber requires the best equipment available, and he tapped New Balance for his signature, one-of-one baseball glove. The first glove ever from New Balance, the model is based on the long fingers of an outfielder's glove, with a wider pocket and closed web for the needs of working the pitcher's mound. Wool inserts in the thumb and pinky make for a stiffer feel and a modified palm liner helps to prevent shifting. Wilson Master Glove Craftsman Shigeaki Aso crafted the glove completely by hand.
