RED makes outstanding cinema cameras. But they're built for professionals used to handling professional gear. The Nikon ZR is a full-frame shooter that incorporates RED technology in a smaller, more familiar form factor. It weighs just 1.19 lbs, has a built-in 4-inch Vari-angle DCI-P3 touchscreen, records up to 6K/60p footage, and incorporates the new R3D NE1RAW video file format. To ensure the sound matches the video, it supports 32-bit float audio recording with both built-in and external microphones, and uses the EXPEED 7 image processing engine for subject detection autofocus, with automatic tracking of people, animals, and vehicles. Supporting Z Mount lenses, it's available for order now with deliveries beginning in late October 2025.
