NOT A HOTEL Yakushima Island

Located off the coast of Kagoshima in southern Japan, Yakushima is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. It's also the location of the next NOT A HOTEL build. Designed by French architectural firm Ateliers Jean Nouvel, it will be built from rock and glass to reflect the surrounding landscape, as it's perched on a cliff overlooking the sea and near a waterfall. It's not yet completed, but sales are scheduled to begin in summer 2026, with a fractional ownership model like the company's other properties.
