Off-Grid Lamp
To create the Off-Grid Lamp, designer Klemens Schillinger took a look back. The portable light was made for a castle in Austria, borrowing from the medieval setting to produce the innovative design. Due to the lack of electricity throughout the castle, the lamp is powered by a battery that gets its charge from a built-in manual generator. It's made with a green aluminum body and features a brass shade and lever. The base can sit on a tabletop or be mounted to the wall like a sconce. When roaming the corridors, the light lifts off the base and can be used as a handheld torch.
