OMEGA x Swatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase Moonswatch
Moonswatches are rare as is. The new OMEGA x Swatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase Moonswatch will be even harder to buy. Available in select Swatch stores after 5 PM — during what is known as the "blue hours," the 20-90 minute period just after sunset — from August 1st through 19th, which is the only blue moon day of 2024. The celestial tie-in is cool, but the watch itself takes the cake. Noticeably different from previous Moonswatch releases, this iteration is less playful and a tad bit more refined, recalling Omega's "Blue Panda" Speedmaster. With an off-white dial with dark and light blue accents beneath the bio-sourced domed plastic crystal, a blue case made from Swatch's patented Bioceramic with matching blue pushers, all on a matching blue fabric strap, the collaborators successfully crafted a watch collectors will covet. And as if aesthetics alone weren't enough to separate this particular model from the pack, it's the first Moonswatch to feature a pulsometer scale, not a tachymeter scale, on the bezel.
