Panerai Submersible Elux LAB-ID Watch

Losing power on a submersible means a world of trouble — but keeping time won't be a problem with the Panerai Submersible Elux LAB-ID watch. Over seven years of development went into the Elux LAB-ID, giving the watch an incredible 72-hour power reserve, and even powering the electric lume. The P.9010/EL automatic caliber stores energy in six barrels: two for the movement itself, and four for powering the electric lume via a microgenerator. A pusher at the 8 o'clock position powers the LED lights for 30 minutes; pressing it again turns them off. The indices and hour hand are coated in Super-LumiNova X2, with Super-LumiNova X1 on the minute hand and bezel pip. The tradeoff is that the watch has massive proportions at 49mm wide and 21.9mm thick with a depth rating of 500m. Construction is of a titanium ceramic blend with a rubber strap. The Submersible Elux Lab-ID is limited to 150 units with a production rate of 50 per year.
