Park Hyatt Tokyo
Immortalized on celluloid in Sofia Coppola's modern classic Lost in Translation, the Park Hyatt Tokyo is reopening after a year-and-a-half renovation. Not to worry, The New York Grill is still very much intact, as are the 171 rooms that received a Studio Jouin Manku redesign, with warmer lights, more rounded forms, and a modern feel that remains unmistakably Japanese. Located on the west side of Tokyo in Shinjuku, the hotel occupies the 39th to 52nd floors of Shinjuku Park Tower, designed by Pritzker Prize-winner Kenzo Tange, affording nearly every room outstanding views of the city beyond.
