Philippe Dufour Duality Watch
When it was introduced in 1996, master watchmaker Philippe Dufour's Duality was a mechanical marvel. Using dual escapements that canceled out any variance in the other, it was remarkably complex — and incredibly accurate. Production was limited to 25 units, only 9 of which were actually built, and this is no. 3 of those. Housed in a 34mm white gold case with a crocodile strap, it's the only one known to exist with a spare Roman numeral dial and set of Breguet-style hands in the box. Rarely worn and in exemplary condition for its age, it hits the market as part of Phillips' New York Watch Auction on June 8th.
