Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept Watch
Measuring a scant 2mm thick, the Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept is far and away the world's thinnest self-winding watch. To achieve this, the watch's case serves as the base plate for the movement and lacks common components like a balance cock, shock absorber, and balance staff. It also has a balance spring placed below the balance, a mobile stud for adjustment, and a crystal that's just 0.2mm thick. It was originally displayed at the 2018 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie and is now available to buy. It's powered by a hand-wound in-house movement, has a 41mm case, and a power reserve of 40 hours. Despite its thin profile, the color of the bridge and dial, the finish of the hands, the main plate, and the straps can all be customized, resulting in over 10,000 possible combinations.
