Polestar 5 Electric Grand Tourer
In 2020, Polestar unveiled the Precept concept, which meant to serve as a vision statement of sorts. Much of what made it intriguing has found its way into the new Polestar 5 flagship Grand Tourer. It's built on a bonded aluminum platform and 800V electrical architecture, with an in-house-developed motor making 884 hp in Performance guise. That's good for a 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. The interior is filled with sustainable materials in a 4+1 seating arrangement, with extra room for the rear passengers made possible by a digital rearview mirror and virtual rear window. The front seats were designed with Recaro, providing both support and comfort; other creature comforts include a massive panoramic glass roof, a 9"driver display and 9.5" head-up display, an available Bowers & Wilkins 21-speaker audio system, and plentiful ADAS technology for a more relaxing drive. The Polestar 5 is available to order now in select markets; pricing and availability for North America will be announced at a later date.
