Ram Island
Just off the coast of Maine, Ram Island is a rugged retreat in the middle of Wheeler Bay. The former sheep pasture consists of four buildings organized around a central courtyard. Set up in classic camp style, the main lodge offers a kitchen, dining, and living area featuring a massive stone fireplace within its wood-lined interior. A network of stone and wood paths lead to the master wing as well as a guest cabin with three additional bedrooms, and a library. Each cabin is powered by solar panels while a rainwater collection system provides water. The heavily wooded five-acre property also comes with around 1,700-square-feet of accessible shorefront for swimming and kayaking, walking trails, and a sheltered dock to park your boat.
