Richard Neutra's Van Sicklen House

Richard Neutra was a notable mid-century modernist architect. Working primarily in California, he designed four houses in San Diego County, including the Van Sicklen House, which is now on the market. Neutra's original design, measuring 2,458 square feet, was expanded to roughly 4,000 by the current owners, with the design handled by interior designer Gerald Jerome and architect Fred Dong. Roughly 15 years later, with a growing family and need for more space, a separate 4,000-square-foot "West Wing" was built, with a breezeway connecting the two structures. Now offering eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a pool house, over 8,200 square feet of space, and a 1.3-acre plot, this Rancho Santa Fe represents a fine opportunity to restore and enjoy a classic mid-century home.
