Rolex Daytona Test Dial Watch
Phillips is auctioning off a rare Rolex Daytona Test Dial Watch. Dating back to 1987, the piece was likely used for pre-production testing for the Zenith-based Caliber 4030 movement. Its minimal white dial is stripped down to the basics, featuring only indexes and three subdials for measuring hours, minutes, seconds, dates, and meters. It's housed in a 40mm stainless steel case and with a matching Oyster bracelet. With only three other known variants, this test dial is an extremely unique piece of Rolex history and comes with written verification by Mr. Pucci Papaleo. The watch will go on sale in Hong Kong starting November 24, 2023.
