Serene Cleaver Keyboard
Serene Industries' first keyboard, the Icebreaker, was a brutalist, oversized wedge of aluminum. Their follow-up, the Cleaver, has the same DNA but in a drastically slimmed-down form factor. Thanks to an overmolded silicone core that acts as non-slip feet, protects the electronics, and improves the sound signature, it packs full-height Hall Effect switches yet feels like a low-profile keyboard. The chassis is machined from a block of 6061 aluminum, as are the keycaps, which have 1,204 tiny perforations to allow the LED backlighting to shine through. It's available in a clear or black finish for Windows or Mac, and is machined, molded, and assembled entirely in the United States.
