Keyboards are the primary input devices for many computers. Yet they're often little more than a plastic afterthought to the chips inside. Serene Industries' Icebreaker exudes the thoughtfulness the keyboard deserves. It's fully CNC'd from a solid block of aluminum, with a brutalist wedge shape and fully aluminum keycaps with 800 micro-perforations to allow the LED backlight to shine through. Full-height switches deliver satisfying travel, and a silicone dampener integrated into the bottom helps refine the sound while serving as a non-slip base. 1/4-20" mounting points on the back and base allow for attachment of accessories or rig-based use, the 4,000 mAh battery can run up to three months — USB-C tethered use is also supported — and the rotary encoder to the left is fully customizable via software, able to function as everything from a simple volume control to a video scrubber or tool adjustment. Available in a clear or black finish.
