Shuna Island
Set just off the west coast of Scotland, roughly 20 miles south of Oban, Shuna Island offers 1,110 acres of privacy. Its history dates back 9,000 years, as it's home to two twin-chamber Stone Age burial mounds, as well as Iron Age sites. Multiple residences are spread across the island, including a boat house, a castle built by Antarctic explorer George Buckley, a farmhouse, a garden house, and a timber-framed cottage with beach access. The island is protected from Atlantic storms by the islands of Scarba, Jura, and Luing, rising nearly 300 feet above the water with a mix of rocky shorelines, sandy beaches, sheltered bays, grazing pastures, ancient woodlands, and peat bogs, supporting a similarly diverse range of wildlife.
