Sony Alpha 7R V Camera
Standalone cameras have larger sensors and better lenses than smartphones, but smartphones have them beat in processing power. Sony is looking to bridge that gap with the Alpha 7R V. It has a dedicated AI processor that enables advanced autofocus features, like the ability to recognize 20 points on a human body and calculate where the eye should be, making Eye AF possible even when the face is partially obscured. The same system can also recognize objects ranging from animals and vehicles to insects, and the AI unit also enables more intelligent auto white balancing. Those smarts are paired with a 61-megapixel full-frame sensor, Bionz XR image processor, 8-stop in-body image stabilization, 8K video recording, and a redesigned articulating rear display.
