Sony SRS-LSR200 Speaker Remote
Sony has a long history of releasing... unusual products in its home market of Japan. The SRS-LSR200 proudly carries on this tradition. On the top, it has buttons that let it serve as a universal remote, complete with an oversized volume knob. More than just a remote, though, it communicates with a base unit via a 2.4 GHz signal that allows it to play the audio from the TV. Ideal for older users, it's also handy for carrying the TV sound to the kitchen, patio, or even the bathroom without missing a word or cranking up the main TV speaker to uncomfortable levels. A "voice" speaker in the center is made specifically to clearly reproduce the human voice, while passive radiators help produce a full sound. It launches in Japan on February 22nd.
