Stack Rock Fort
Sited on a small island off the coast of Pembrokeshire, Stack Rock Fort has all the making of a personal fortress. The former military outpost was built between 1850 and 1852 and has been left completely untouched since 1859. Although it's been abandoned and neglected, its ancient bones have major potential. The three-story interior is filled with historic detailing like vaulted brick ceilings, original spiral staircases, arched doorways, and expansive seaward views. It's all organized around a central courtyard that with a little TLC, could be the crowning feature. The property occupies the entire island, meaning your only neighbors are all a boat ride away.
