Steam Deck Handheld Console
Steam has long been rumored to be working on a portable gaming system. It's real and it's called the Steam Deck. Built around a 7-inch, 1280 x 800 display and powered by a custom AMD-built Zen 2 + RDNA 2 chipset, it's a full-fledged Linux PC that by default boosts straight into the familiar Steam UI but can also run Windows, thus making it a portable Xbox for those that wish to do so. It has a wide range of built-in buttons and controls, including analog sticks, trackpads, a D-pad, corner buttons, and back buttons, and can also work in docked mode with a USB-C port that supports external displays/monitors, keyboards, and mice. Pre-orders begin at 1:00 PM ET for December delivery.
