Super Heroic Sneakers
Most kids' shoes are just shrunk-down versions of their adult counterparts. Super Heroic Sneakers, on the other hand, were engineered from the ground up with kids — and more specifically, playtime — in mind. They're the brainchild of Jason Mayden, a former Nike global design director who saw an opening in the market while dealing with his son's own health problems. Traction on the sides of the shoes gives added grip, a dual-density midsole supports quick movements, a rubber outsole provides stability, and an adjustable utility strap works with the seamless upper for an ideal balance between fit and comfort. Available in three colorways, they arrive in a tubed package that plays sound effects when opened and also contains a superhero-inspired, cape-like backpack.
